Though social media apps are helpful for connecting people, they often fail to focus on the most important aspect of a successful app: the user. I started from the basics to re-imagine a social media app centered on users, aiming for higher rates of satisfaction instead of the traditionally troubled relationship between social media and its users. The result is a "community help" application that bridges the gap between self-help apps and social media, creating an environment where users are not just encouraged, but actively aided in living their lives to the fullest.

With social media focusing on user retention for ads, users are growing frustrated with feeling like they need to be on their phone to stay in touch with friends.
Venture aims to bring users fulfillment in their daily lives by providing the means to put their devices down and enjoy the company of others and their true passions.
When researching, I found the Uses and Gratifications theory, which states that everyone has a personal reason for using media. Fitting all users into one of these four categories allows more accurate content distribution.
My initial wireframes were used for user studies as I worked through desired flows and priorities.
From left to right, I worked through various design systems until I found one with a high success and satisfaction rating.
This style guide provided me with all the required tools to begin designing with confidence in my direction.
Below is an example of a single flow users may follow to complete a desired venture.
